Accommodation

Staying 5 nights in Swiss quality double rooms
The all-inclusive package covers everything you need for an unforgettable week in the Swiss Alps. During 5 days, you’ll stay overnight in Swiss quality double rooms together with your team member which ensures not only a premium MTB stage race experience but also perfect conditions to be totally refreshed for the next day.

Food

Service stations
Athletes will pass through three service stations on every stage of the race, featuring sports nutrition. In addition portable toilets or facilities in nearby buildings will be available too. Also, sports nutrition awaits the stage finishers with recovery nutrition.

Post-stage recovery meal
What could be better than recharching your batteries right after crossing the finish line? At the SPAR Swiss Epic, you’ll be treated with a fresh meal including a drink directly onsite.

Coffee
What else? Coffee! In case you need something to start your day right or you need some more adrenaline, there will be coffee available free of charge before and after each stage.

Free Beer
At the finish of each stage, you can enjoy a well-deserved local beer alongside your Post Stage Recovery Meal in the Race Village.

Dinner and breakfast at your accommodation
In order to refill your energy tanks, we offer you a rich breakfast and dinner at your accommodation before and after every stage.

Safety

Medical support
Medical support throughout the race is ensured by a professional rescue service with paramedics on enduro motorbikes and e-bikes as well as by Samaritans at service stations. Medical support in the finish area is ensured by a professional rescue service too.

Timekeeping
Riders in all categories are timed by a transponder attached to the fork of the mountain bike. Riders will be debited for any lost transponders.

GPS tracking
Each team gets a GPS tracker at the check-in, with whom your actual position can be located at any time and friends and family can follow you by using the Live-Tracking.

Route

The Route
Ready for an adventure of a lifetime? The SPAR Swiss Epic route is calling your name! Each year, we carve out an exciting new route, showcasing stunning mountain passes, flow trails, bike parks, and picturesque valleys.

Alphorn “players”
If you can hear the soft sounds of an “alphorn” ensemble in the distance, you know that the highest point of the stage will soon be reached. So listen carefully…

Motivational signs
Always be on the lookout for signs that will carry you up the mountain with motivational slogans. If you spot a sign with a crown, you know that you have reached the highest point of the stage.

Tech Service

Our tech partner will provide daily technical support during every stage. The service is free, but spare parts will be charged and have to get paid on event. Technical support at the Race Village will be charged.

Race Village Services

Bike wash
Riders may have their bikes cleaned at each Race Village. Cleansing material and lube will keep your bikes clean and shiny during the whole race.

Bike park
There will be a secure bike park at every Race Village, where you can hand off your bike.

Registration documents
Each athlete will receive the following documents at registration to ensure that they are prepared for a successful SPAR Swiss Epic:

Luggage

Transport of your private luggage
You private luggage will be transported from one race village to the next and we will place it directly in your accommodation.

Strip stop service
Pack your most important things, which you may need at the finish line, in your strip stop bag. We will collect it before every stage and bring it to the finish line. Thanks to the strip stop bag you have the possibility to keep warm as long as possible and to get dressed quickly at the finish.

Grand Finale

Finisher medal
As a successful “conqueror of the alps”, you will receive your well deserved finisher medal.

An award of a special kind
Two teams selected during the week will not only receive the well-deserved finisher medal, but will also be awarded a very special and unique trophy.
We will award the best or most fancy dressed team with the medal "Alpenpracht - Best dressed Team" and the team that entertained us the most with the award "Hüttengaudi - Best Entertainers". In addition, the most loyal fan will be named "Alpenschatz - Best Fan".

Finisher Party
Join us at the finisher bar in Davos and share your SPAR Swiss Epic adventure with other riders. You can find the exact location closer to the event.

Showers and changing rooms
There will be showers and changing rooms available at the finish of the last stage in case you didn’t book the additional post-race night. Thanks to this, you can take a shower and enjoy the afternoon with your family or your mates totally refreshed.
