Racing for Good in Graubünden
The SPAR Swiss Epic, in Graubünden, is proud to have launched an official race charity programme. Alongside our partner GivenGain, a global fundraising platform, we are now offering SPAR Swiss Epic participants the opportunity to raise money for the race’s two official charities or the charity of their choice.
Every day which we spend on the beautiful trails in Graubünden and in the incomparable Swiss nature is an incredible privilege for us, as the organisers of the SPAR Swiss Epic. It gives us great joy to note the pleasure that each participant takes in the beauty of the region and the unspoilt natural environment the route winds through. For mountain bikers, like us and you, the sport and the places it takes us are close to our hearts. It is for that reason that the SPAR Swiss Epic has added a charity portal, to help develop the sport and provide access to mountain biking for those who are less fortunate than we are.
Through the links with the Epic Series and the Absa Cape Epic the SPAR Swiss Epic, in Graubünden, will be supporting various South African charities. As a country the nation is geographically ideal for mountain biking, as you well know, but economically the vast majority of South Africans cannot afford to participate in the sport we love. By working with the education and sporting charity, the Anna Foundation, as well as Pump for Peace, a global initiative focussed on building pump tracks in underprivileged communities, we aim to expand access to cycling.
If you would like to share your joy on the trails, with young South Africans from impoverished communities, please consider donating or helping raise funds for one of these two fantastic charities. Alternatively, the GivenGain portal allows you the option to set-up a donation platform to raise money for the charity of your choice. If you have a worthy cause, close to your heart, which you would like to fundraise for please feel free to do so in the build-up to and during the SPAR Swiss Epic.

Pump for Peace
Pump for Peace is a global initiative focussed on building pump tracks in underprivileged communities, with aims of making cycling and action sports more accessible than ever before. No matter your race, gender or religion, sport has the power to unite communities around the world. Pump For Peace was founded on this belief. By making the sport more accessible, we can help promote a more tolerant future.

Anna Foundation
The primary objective of Anna Foundation is to address the educational and social needs of rural children and offer them lifelong learning in order to build positive self-worth and self-respect. They reach this objective by means of our 3 Rs Programme: Reading, Running and Right-ing.
