Epic Legends: We’re About to Hit 500. And It’s All Thanks to You.
We’ve got something big to celebrate, and if you’ve ever crossed the finish line caked in dust, legs screaming, heart full, this one’s for you.
Right now, 470 of you have earned the title of Epic Legend, and in just a few weeks, at Andorra Epic, someone will become the 500th. That’s right. Half a thousand riders who’ve taken on the Absa Cape Epic, SPAR Swiss Epic, and 4Islands Epic, and made it through every brutal climb, every rocky descent, every moment of doubt... and kept riding.
It’s Not Just a Race. It’s a Journey.
Ask any Epic Legend, this isn't about ticking off events. It’s about the moments in between. The crashes. The cold beers after. The silent focus in the start chute. The friendships forged on long climbs. The joy of rolling over that last finish line knowing: you did it.
And now, more than 1000 riders are still on that path. That’s a thousand dreams in motion. A thousand stories being written by people just like you
So far this year:
-
33 riders became Epic Legends at the Absa Cape Epic.
-
49 more joined the Hall of Fame at 4Islands Epic.
-
And now, 73 potential Legends are heading to Andorra Epic, ready to complete the trilogy.
If you’re one of them, we’re already cheering you on and we are sure about something, you'll be back because you love it.
Once a Legend, always a Legend... but some of you just can’t get enough. This year alone, 42 Epic Legends are back racing Andorra, chasing the joy (and maybe some redemption).
Riders like Karl Platt, who’s done 21 Cape Epics, or Ariane Lüthi, with 11 Cape Epics and 7 Swiss Epics. And folks like Peter Vesel, Marin Dekovic, and Costanza Fasolis Luthi, they keep showing up, and that says it all.
From All Corners of the Globe. This isn’t just a race series. It’s a global community.
-
43 countries are now represented in the Hall of Fame.
-
In 2025, riders from Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Malta, and Ecuador joined the Epic Legend field.
-
In Andorra, we’ll see riders from over 20 nations, led by South Africa, Ecuador, and Spain.
From the first group of Legends in 2018, riders from Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, Switzerland, the Netherlands and New Zealand, to today’s ever-growing crew, this thing keeps getting bigger, bolder, and better.
4Islands: Where Many Legends Cross the Line
More Epic Legends have completed their journey at 4Islands Epic than anywhere else, 178 of them. Why? Maybe it’s the island trails, or the community vibe, or the fact that suffering just feels better by the sea.
Either way, that race holds a special place in our story.
And Now… Number 50
Sometime in Andorra this July, we’ll welcome the 500th rider into the Epic Legend Hall of Fame. We don’t know who it’ll be yet. But whoever you are, you’re part of something that’s grown bigger than we ever imagined.
To everyone who’s finished one race, or all three, thank you for being part of this crazy, amazing ride. To those still chasing it, don’t stop. We’ll be there cheering when you make it.
And to our fellow riders all over the world—this is your community. This is your story. This is your legend.
See you on the trail. Make your life Epic!
